Spacecamp Disaster
Spacecamp Disaster is an Oakland, CA indie music collective. Heavily influenced by Guided by Voices, The New Pornographers, Mogwai, The Bevis Frond, Imogene Heap, and the multitude of kids making records in their bedrooms. We use GuitarRig Pro, Roli Seaboard, AKAI MPKmini, Logic Pro.
The Year We Blew Up (2022)
Our 4th full length album is 16 tracks that shape a musical journey in your mind. This one has a couple of heavy guitar tracks tracks, and a quasi-spiritual feel throughout. We are growing and changing as people do.

You Better Run (2021)
Our 3rd full length release!
I added an extra channel out and hooked my MIDI source to a visualizer so the videos are made in real time while I am playing. This idea is that pre-recorded audio visuals can be experienced and re-experienced as a thing, while any live performance with changes to the arrangements will also change the visual elements, but only for that version.
In the 1990s on Mtv, I remember YES and James exploring similar territory releasing multiple versions of the same song but with different fully produced videos.

The Monkeys are LOOSE (2020)
When I was a kid, I was obsessed with Planet of the Apes, (the 1968 version) and Logan’s Run. Both films are Sci-Fi looks at possible futures with deep undercurrents of “fight the power”.
When I wrote these songs I was thinking a lot about the ways we have let technology take over our lives without actually putting a lot of thought into it. When the robots come for us, I’ll be prepared.

SORRY NO REFUNDS (2021)
Our first full length release is an eclectic mix of indie electronica great for focus, studying and guiding your life towards greatness. Recorded sequentially as they came to me, this is about as close as you can get to hearing me think in real time. All of the ideas and prep on this record were really about clearing my head to concentrate on making something pretty for a friend who had passed after a long battle with breast cancer.
I think I succeeded, the result is here

ALLTIME GREATEST HITS (2023)
Our first full length pop album.
In the 1970s, there were a few discount labels like K-Tel that would repackage a bunch of radio hits and throw in some filler. The albums always had bombastic titles like Super Hit by Superstars or Explosive Greatest Hits etc… the very definition of overpromise, underdeliver.
THE FUTURE IS FINE (2023)
An experiment in dance club music. This really emerged from a mischievous idea, now minimal can the songs be and still work? Electronic music is pretty forgiving, which make sit a fun sandbox to play in. I left in some big gaps so people can remix on top with their own stems if they want. For what started as a bit of a goof, there are a couple of really solid songs on here that I like to hear in a mix.
THE GOOD KIND OF WEIRD (2024)
Our second pop album kicks off with the least cynical thing I’ve ever created and produced, a freak folk anthem about the changing seasons, (To Fall Again). You can watch the video here.
There are several highlights on this album that stand out, including the lyrically dense Postcard and Blue, a Conqueror in the Sky. Our personal favorite is the stunning instrumental closer (A Deep One) with its mesmerizing video, here.
This album is an exploration of several different styles under the pop umbrella, and plays with a mix of really commercial ideas with stuff that’s a little further out there. We are thrilled with how this turned out
THIRD EYE DROPS (2024)
Our eighth album is a mix of 9 pop cuts and 5 instrumentals. The most sure I have ever been that I wrote at least 3 hits for one album. They all feel like hit when they are created, but after you play them back a couple hundred times, a few always stick out.
I animated a video for the kickoff single, I’ve Already Lost My Mind (Again), you can watch it here.
